Mr Ibnauf Suliman BM BSc(Hons) FRCS is a consultant colorectal and general surgeon at the Royal Free Hospital, providing private specialist care across colorectal cancer, benign colorectal conditions, endometriosis and hernia surgery.

Mr Ibnauf Suliman is a consultant colorectal and general surgeon at the Royal Free Hospital. He completed advanced surgical specialist registrar training through the London Deanery, rotating through University College, the Royal Free and the Royal London Hospitals.
His fellowship training includes laparoscopic surgery at Concord Repatriation Hospital in Sydney, pelvic floor surgery at The Royal London Hospital, and robotic and pelvic exenteration surgery at The Royal Marsden Hospital. He also spent time at Cleveland Clinic developing experience in HIPEC for advanced peritoneal cancers.
Mr Suliman joined the Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust as a Consultant Colorectal Surgeon in 2018. He chairs the colorectal cancer multidisciplinary team and has a particular interest in minimally invasive laparoscopic and robotic surgery, early diagnosis and regular endoscopy practice.
His research has focused on novel methods of bowel cancer screening, undertaken during a Doctorate of Medicine at University College London and the Babraham Institute in Cambridge. He has published and presented internationally, received a research prize from University College London, and holds leadership roles in governance, audit, robotic colorectal surgery and emergency laparotomy care.
